One of the renowned automaker CASE Construction Equipment (CASE CE) has introduced the 12EV, an all-electric 3.8-ton compact wheel loader. It is the brand’s significant step towards zero-emission construction equipment. This new addition underlines the CASE CE’s commitment to providing eco-friendly solutions without compromising on performance.
The new construction equipment CASE 12EV is equipped with a 23 kWh’s cobalt-free lithium-ion battery that powers a 17 kW motor for the axles and a 22 kW motor for the hydraulic system which enables the loader arms and bucket cylinder to function more efficiently. Also the payload capacity of 1.5 tons and the 12EV offers up to six hours of continuous operation depending on the load. Considering charging time, the battery can be recharged overnight using a 220V Level 2 charger or quickly from 10% to 80% in under an hour using a DC fast charger.
It follows the CX15EV and CX25EV mini excavators, which weigh 1.5 and 2.5 tons, respectively. This is the latest addition to CASE CE’s growing lineup of battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Further these excavators come with 21.5 kWh and 32.3 kWh battery packs, designed to provide enough power for a full work shift.
As the construction industries face increasing pressure from government regulations to reduce carbon emissions, CASE CE’s electric equipment offers customers more choices to meet their carbon footprint reduction targets and eco-efficiency goals. The 12EV aims to deliver power and performance comparable to conventional diesel-powered machines while significantly reducing emissions.
Earlier this summer, CASE CE has already showcased its full line of electric excavators in the UK. It is the first time giving equipment operators and stakeholders a firsthand look at the battery electric machines. The event also highlighted other carbon-reducing initiatives, including sustainable charging and waste management practices.
With the rising market of sustainable construction equipment, the introduction of CASE CE’s 2EV as a compact wheel loader is a clear indication of the company’s forward-thinking approach to sustainable construction equipment. As the demand for zero-emission solutions continues to rise, the CASE CE is well-positioned to lead the industry with innovative, environmentally friendly machinery.
