Hyundai unveiled its new Creta EV and announced that it will be introduced in one of the fastest growing electric vehicle markets that is yet to unexplored.
This time Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be introduced in the mass electric Vehicle market of India. After introducing the premium IONIQ 5 and Kona EV, Hyundai, a pioneer in the Indian automarket is ready to take hold in the untapped market of India with its new Creta EV by the end of next year. Autocar India also said that the new EV is set to take on the country’s rapidly growing mass-market EV segment.
If talking about the specification of the Creta EV, it is reported that the EV will feature a 45kWh battery powertrain from LG Chem. Also it will ride on a modified platform shared with the gas-powered model.
Further the announcement by Kamran Rizvi, secretary of the Ministry of Heavy Industries,”India will be a global giant in all sectors of electric Vehicles (EVs) by 2030. It Is the bonus news for the automakers who want to enter the electric vehicle market of India.
The more details of the upcoming Ev is yet to be disclosed by the company but it is expected that you will get to know them by the end of next year. Debuting in 2025, the Creta EV will be a rival of- the MG ZS EV and Maruti’s upcoming eVX. But the bigger batteries of both MG ZS EV (50.3 kWh) and Maruti eVX (45 kWh) is a real concern of the Hyundai Creta EV. But the best part is that it will top the Tata Motor’s best selling Nexon EV pack with a 40.5 kWh battery.
Hyundai is ready for the global debut of the Creta EV expected in early 2025, but the EV will enter the Indian market at the end of the next year.
