BMW i5 (Expected: Late 2023)

BMW is ready to bring the latest addition of it’s 5-series, that is a mid-size new electric model of Sedan named The i5. The i5 model is available in two version – The base model known as eDrive40 comes with a 335-hp motor that powers the rear wheel. The BMW i5 is also featured with an 84.3-kWh battery expected to achieve nearly 300 miles of range in single charge. Then there is next top model in the i5 lineup will be the M60 xDrive. That is a dual-motor all-wheel-drive sports sedan boasting total system output of 593bhp and 605lb ft of torque. The M60 xDrive is also accelerate to 60 mph just in a 3.7-second. The M60 shares the same lithium-ion battery, with 11kW charging functionality, reducing the estimated range to 256 miles. The company said that starting price of eDrive40 will be $67,795, while the M60 will be priced at $85,095 when these electric sedans hit dealerships in the fall.

BMW i4 is another electric sedan offered by BMW. The Four door sedan resembles the vaunted 3-series and 4-series Gran Coupe within EV status. The i4 gets either one or two electric motors per the model. The BMW has offered i4 trim and options. The eDrive35 and eDrive 40 come with a single 282 horsepower motor and rear-wheel drive but the later will output to 335 horsepower. Further a pair of motors producing 396 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque are fitted in the all-wheel drive i4 xDrive40 model. The last one is a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain producing 536 horsepower and 586 pound-feet– M50.

All-wheel-drive dual-motor M50 with the eDive40 and xDrive40 model has the same 83.4-kWh battery. Apart from the general feature i4 comes with a massive, seamless 14.9-inch touchscreen display with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. It also first EV features BMW’s iDrive 8 infotainment and connectivity software. The four-door i4 has a dramatic rear roofline that imitates a coupe-like profile, but it has a traditional trunk in the back. With it’s large option and color choices i4 will stand in the market on it own that will come with the expected price of $54,000 to start that will go up to $71,000 depending on the trim and options.
