Tesla is now offering delivery of the refreshed Model Y within two weeks for new orders in China, raising questions about whether demand for the updated model is already slowing.
Last month, Tesla introduced the refreshed Model Y in China, featuring an updated design and new features that align it more closely with the latest Model 3 refresh. Deliveries of the Long Range AWD variant have now begun, alongside the opening of orders for the Standard Range RWD and non-Launch Edition models.

Earlier reports from China suggested hundreds of thousands of orders for the refreshed Model Y, which wouldn’t be unrealistic given its status as one of the best-selling EVs. However, Tesla’s latest delivery estimates are casting doubts on those claims.
- Standard Range RWD Model Y: Estimated delivery in 2-4 weeks.
- Long Range AWD Model Y: Estimated delivery in 6-10 weeks.
Additionally, insurance registration data indicates that Tesla’s 2025 deliveries are down by approximately 7,000 units compared to the same period last year.
